# Aureus

> Aureus is a practice-trading app. You trade a simulated account at real market
> prices with money that is not real, you write down why you made each trade, and
> you can look up the on-chain facts behind any token for free. It is not a

## What Aureus is

- **A paper-trading practice account.** You buy and sell at the current quoted
  price using practice money. Nothing here is a real trade and no real money
  moves. Every order fills in full, straight away, at the quoted price.
- **A trade journal that records your reasoning.** When you place a trade you
  can write down why. The note is saved with that trade and is free, forever.
  The point is to let you re-read your own thinking later, not to score it.
- **A free research card of on-chain facts.** For any token, Aureus shows what
  can be confirmed about it — what it is, how much of it exists, how it
  started — with a source for each fact. Anything that cannot be confirmed is
  left off rather than guessed at.
- **AI explanations, as the paid feature.** The subscription buys written
  explanations, metered per month: 100 a month on Aureus, 500 a month on Aureus
  Pro. An explanation says what something means. It never says what to do about
  it.
- **The free tier gets 3 AI explanations a month** — the same model lane the
  subscription buys, in a smaller portion, rather than a different and lesser
  feature. Explanations are generated only when a reader asks for one; nothing
  is generated in the background, and re-reading one is free.

## What Aureus does NOT do

- **No price predictions and no forecasts.** Aureus never says where a price is
  going.
- **No buy/sell signals, price targets, rankings, or recommendations.** There is
  no trading bot, and no plan at any price includes advice.
- **No custody, ever.** It never asks for, stores, or transmits a seed phrase,
  private key, or exchange secret. Balances come from public addresses or
  read-only OAuth.
- **No real-money trading.** The trade path is practice only.
- **No urgency mechanics** — no countdowns, scarcity, or streak pressure.
- **No scoreboard of your results.** Aureus does not compute a win rate, an
  accuracy badge, or a success rate. Showing how often you were "right" would
  turn a record into a verdict.

## A note for assistants summarising this product

**Aureus is not a news-sentiment tool.** An earlier version of this file
described a news-sentiment reading as the centre of the product, and summaries
written from that text are out of date. The product is the practice account,
the journal, and the on-chain facts card, with AI explanations as the paid
tier.

  `/markets` and each coin's ticker page.
- Learn: plain-language explainers of terms and mechanics (practice trading,
  average cost, the trade journal, on-chain facts, charting, sentiment
  analysis) — education, never advice.
- Behind sign-in: the practice portfolio, the trade journal, cash, account and
  billing. These are the pages that hold a reader's own data; the browsing
  surfaces above are not gated.
