CoinGecko lists BNB as the native coin of its own chain and also lists a BNB contract on Ethereum, with a start date in July 2017. The project's whitepaper says its own chain launched in April 2019, two years later. That points to BNB beginning as a contract on Ethereum and moving to its own chain afterwards, but no source Aureus holds says so in those words. So the shape is undetermined, and the facts from each source are shown below with their labels.
