A contract deployment
This coin lives in a contract: a small program put on a chain that already existed, by sending a transaction. The coin began when that transaction went through.
A genesis block
This coin began when its own chain began. A genesis block is a chain's first block, block 0, and every later block points back to it.
A chain split
This coin came from a chain that split in two at a named block. Before it the two share one history; after it, this coin is the new branch.
CoinGecko lists TRX as the native coin of its own chain with a start date of 28 August 2017. The project's whitepaper says TRON “declared its independence with the creation of the Genesis block” in June 2018. A contract on Ethereum that calls itself Tronix (TRX) was deployed on the vendor's start date. That points to TRX beginning as a contract on Ethereum and moving to its own chain, but no source Aureus holds says so in those words. So the shape is undetermined.
